We're very pleased to announce the details of the 2021 EWS International presented by Tonisport! We're using our normal format as we have done for the last few years with great success, with just a few small changes like happens every year.

===== COVID-19 Information ===== Currently, the UK is quite open again. Shops, restaurants and hotels are all fully open with generally no limits on numbers. Facemasks normally only need to be worn on public transport. However, this may change and we'll update our rules to reflect any national or local rules that are put in place.
For our race, we will spread the pit area out more than in previous years to allow everyone to have a little more space. There are no extra rules we have in place at the moment - but we ask everyone to be mindful of each other. Facemasks are optional in the hall.
===== Format/Time Schedule ===== Friday 03 December: Doors open 17:00. Three rounds of practice from 18:00-22:00 Saturday 04 December: Doors open 07:30. "Late arrival" practice, seeding practice, and Qualifying 1-3 Sunday 05 December: Doors open 07:30. Qualifying 4, Triple Finals, Prize Ceremony. Finish around 4-4:30pm
===== Classes ===== Modified Touring, Super Stock Touring (13.5 Blinky), Sportsman Stock Touring (17.5 Blinky, no manufacturer sponsored drivers or those who make A Finals at major national or international events in Modified or 13.5 classes), Front Wheel Drive.
===== Tyres and Additive ===== Modified and Super Stock: TWO sets of marked/numbered Matrix EPC-028 carpet tyres included in entry fee. Front Wheel Drive: TWO sets of marked/numbered Ride 26072 included in entry fee. Only marked tyres can be used for Qualifying and Finals. Limited to TWO sets for all classes. Marked or unmarked tyres may be used for practice and seeding rounds.
Additive is MR33 V4 (Green) and will be provided for use in the designated additive area. Tyres may only be cleaned with the hand-out additive or regular brake cleaner. No tyre warmers are allowed. No modification may be made to the tyres or wheels, with the exception of the removal of the tyre centre mould line.
===== Bodyshell and Wing ===== Modified, Super Stock, Sportsman Stock: Bodyshells must meet basic Global Body Spec (GBS) measurements (used by BRCA and EFRA) and must be available across Europe four weeks before the race. Wing must be made of lexan only and fixed directly to the body in the intended position, with no spacers etc. Maximum wing width 190mm. Maximum wing cross section 40x20mm, measured at any point across the width of the wing. Front Wheel Drive: Bodyshells from the EWS approved list only. Only wings included with the bodyshells may be used.
===== General Rules ===== Minimum Weight: Touring Car: 1320g / FWD: 1250g 5mm minimum ride height for all parts of chassis and bodyshell. General BRCA/EFRA chassis dimensions and construction rules apply. Chassis layout (position of motor, electronics, etc) is free.
===== Motors and Speed Controllers ===== Modified: Any modified motor to BRCA/IFMAR rules. Any ESC. Super Stock: 13.5 motors to BRCA list as of 1 October 2021 (i.e. motors added to the list later cannot be used). All competitors must use Blinky/Zero timing speed controllers. All competitors must use Blinky/Zero timing speed controllers. Maximum gearing 4.3 (may be adjusted during the race).
===== Batteries ===== For all classes competitors must use 7.4v or 7.6v (2 cell) commercially available (in the UK) hard cased LiPo batteries. Batteries must be charged to a maximum of 8.40v. Whilst connected to a charger/discharger batteries must be securely placed in a LiPo sack. Batteries must be charged or discharged using a LiPo charger on the LiPo settings, and must not be charged/discharged in excess of the manufactures guidelines, or 20A, whichever is lower. No heating or cooling of cells are allowed during charging or discharging.
===== Transponders ===== From 2019 onwards, we will use the MyLaps RC4 Decoder. Any MyLaps and AMB Transponder will be supported, as will the newer MRT PTx. The original MRT transponders will not work. It is the racers responsibility to ensure their transponder is compatible. If you do not have a compatible transponder, you will be able to rent one from EWS for £5 per meeting. More information on the different transponder types can be found here.
===== Entries ===== Entries are limited to 140 maximum. All entries must be made via MyRCM at the following link (no account is needed). Entry fee is £85 per class, including two sets of marked/numbered tyres, and controlled additive.
You may initially only enter ONE class - subject to numbers we will allow second entries in a few weeks time.
Once an entry is made, a refund of 50% is possible until 15 November, after which point no refunds will be provided.
