EWS takes place on ETS-type carpet, with our unique wooden corner kerbs. There is lots of pitting space, but all drivers must bring their own table, chair and multi-plug.

Masters - any driver aged 40 years old or over as of the date of the first race of the season.
==== Class Entry Restrictions ==== Drivers with direct/factory sponsorship from a chassis or electronics manufacturer may not compete in either the Sportsman Stock or Front Wheel Drive classes.
Additionally, the Sportsman Stock class is intended to be for 'club' racers, not those who regularly travel to major national events or those who regularly finished in the top 10 of EWS previously. We'd ask everyone to respect the intentions and spirit of this class.
==== Tyres and Additive ==== All Touring Car Classes: Rush 30CPM (Part Number RU0445). Front Wheel Drive: Ride Belted with 10-spoke grey/silver wheel (Party Number RI-26073).
Additive is MR33 V4 ('Green'). Additive will be provided by the organiser, and drivers can ONLY use the additive in the bottles provided. Tyres may be cleaned with the control additive or regular brake cleaner only. No other substance of any kind can be used on the tyres.
Tyre warmers of any type are not allowed.
==== Bodyshell & Wing ==== Touring Car: Any Touring Car bodyshell approved by the BRCA or EFRA and meeting the Global Body Spec. Wing must be made of lexan only and fixed directly to the body in the intended position, with no spacers etc.
Maximum wing width 190mm. Maximum wing cross section 40x20mm, measured at any point across the width of the wing. Bodyshells must be widely available (in UK model shops) four full weeks before each event to be allowed. If they are not, they will only be allowed at the following event. Please check our Facebook page for any updates and contact us if you are unsure.
FWD: Only bodyshells from the EWS approved bodyshell list may be used. Only wings included with the bodyshells may be used, cut out and mounted exactly as intended by the original manufacturer. Click here for current FWD body list (October 2021, valid until next version published).
==== Rules ==== Minimum Weight: Touring Car: 1320g / FWD: 1250g 5mm minimum ride height for all parts of chassis and bodyshell. General BRCA/EFRA chassis dimensions and construction rules apply. Chassis layout (position of motor, electronics, etc) is free.

==== Batteries ==== For all classes competitors must use 7.4v or 7.6v (2 cell) commercially available (in the UK) hard cased LiPo batteries. Batteries must be charged to a maximum of 8.40v. Whilst connected to a charger/discharger batteries must be securely placed in a LiPo sack. Batteries must be charged or discharged using a LiPo charger on the LiPo settings, and must not be charged/discharged in excess of the manufactures guidelines, or 20A, whichever is lower. No heating or cooling of cells are allowed during charging or discharging.
==== Transponders ==== We use the MyLaps RC4 Decoder. Any MyLaps and AMB Transponder will be supported, as will the newer MRT PTx. The original MRT transponders will not work. It is the racers responsibility to ensure their transponder is compatible. If you do not have a compatible transponder, you will be able to rent one from EWS for £5 per meeting. More information on the different transponder types can be found here. ==== Entry Procedure ==== The initial entry period is now closed. We are fully booked in the Front Wheel Drive, Sportsman Stock and Super Stock classes for all rounds, with a (short) waiting list in place for each. There are currently an average of 4 places in the Modified class available.
If you would like to join the waiting lists, use the form to make your entry. We will notify you IF a place becomes available - please don't keep asking us if you've got a place yet - we'll let you know if or when you do!
Entries are £20.00 per round, or £90.00 if the whole series is paid up front. Once entries are paid for, refunds will only be provided in the limited circumstances noted below. Any driver entering and then not attending and failing to notify the organisers will be placed at the back of the reserve list for all further rounds.
If you feel unwell and display symptoms of COVID-19, test positive for COVID-19, have to self-isolate following any government rules or guidelines, or are prevented from traveling to Essex as a result of government rules, you must not attend EWS and notify the organisers immediately. A refund will only be provided in these circumstances upon provision of evidence of the above. All refunds will be processed at the conclusion of the series.
Should an event need to be cancelled due to (for example) a national lockdown, we will re-schedule that event and carry any entries over to the new date.
