We run on the popular ETS-type carpet, with our unique wooden corner kerbs. There is lots of pitting space, but all drivers must bring their own table, chair and multi-plug.
==== Format ==== A five round championship, all one-day meetings. Qualifying format is the round-by-round points system. For each meeting, doors open at 7:30am and the meeting finishes around 5:00pm.
==== Rules ==== Any Touring Car bodyshell approved by the BRCA, or meeting the EFRA/IFMAR Global Body Spec. Max rear wing size 20x40x190mm. Wings must be fixed directly to the body, no spacers etc. 5mm minimum ride height for all parts of chassis and bodyshell. 1350g minimum weight.
==== Control Tyre ==== Sweep Carpet - EWS Spec (Part number SQE-28EWS)
This year, additive will be “open” to any approved odourless carpet-type additive. No home-made or mixtures are allowed. Tyre warmers of any type are not allowed.
Current Approved Additive (list can be added to during series): Sweep X2/X4 , MR33/ETS Indoor No 1 , Volante Blue/Purple/Red , CS High Grip , LRP/Nosram Carpet 2/3 , AME MBT Carpet , Hudy Carpet Gripper , SXT 3.0 , Trinity Sticky Fingers , Spider Grip Green/Blue.
Additionally, tyres may be cleaned with these additives, or regular brake cleaner only.
==== Classes ==== Modified Touring - Any modified motor to BRCA/IFMAR rules.
Super Stock Touring - 13.5 motors to BRCA list as of the week before the first event (i.e. motors added to the list throughout the season cannot be used). All competitors must use Blinky/Zero timing speed controllers as per either the BRCA or ROAR lists.
There will be awards for the top Juniors (under 16 as of the start of the series) in each class.
Additionally, within the Super Stock class there will be awards for the top "Sportsman". Any driver who did not make a A, B or C Final in last years series, or does not make an A, B or C Final in this years series, will be eligible for these awards!
==== Batteries ==== For both touring car classes competitors must use 7.4v or 7.6v (2 cell) commercially available (in the UK) hard cased LiPo batteries. Batteries must be charged to a maximum of 8.40v. Whilst connected to a charger/discharger batteries must be securely placed in a LiPo sack. Batteries must be charged or discharged using a LiPo charger on the LiPo settings, and must not be charged/discharged in excess of the manufactures guidelines, or 20A, whichever is lower. No heating or cooling of cells are allowed during charging or discharging.
